With the return of the Champions League right around the corner, adidas have taken a dose of inspiration from the design of the competition’s new match ball, and spread it across the Predator Mutator and COPA 20+, creating a mini pack known as the ‘Glory Hunter’ Pack.
The new official match ball for the Champions League was unveiled back in September, and now the colour palette used for it has been lifted and spread across the Predator Mutator and COPA 20+, creating a dynamic duo known as the ‘Glory Hunter’ Pack. Both are set to feature on-pitch from mid-October onwards, just in time for the first round of the 20/21 Champions League fixtures.
The Predator Mutator – available in the laceless variation as well as the more traditional low cut laced – sees a light base joined by hits of blue that pop through the heel unit and the Three Stripes, with the signature spikes taking on a red hue. Players such as David Alaba, Rodrigo Bentancur, Fabinho, Koke and F. Mendy will all make the switch for the return of the UCL.
For the COPA 20+, it’s the same white base, joined by pops of red through the heel, with the Three Stripes once again coming in blue. Expect to see Jude Bellingham and Fikayo Tomori pulling these on, although more likely to be the 20.1 versions.
