Nike are bracing for winter on-pitch by rolling out another update to their famed Anti-Clog collection. The Premier II has been hooked up with a "Black/White/Bright Crimson" colourway to maintain that traditional feel with a splash of colour.
The Anti-Clog technology has actually become pretty underrated – it's easily one of the best genuine innovations on the market. It's solved a problem that every play experienced, and it's even developed to become lighter and more streamline on silos such as the Mercurial. So what does it do? The soleplate is coated with a material that, when wet, prevents mud from sticking to it, and in turn helping you stay on your feet. Genius.
As for this colour update it's typically low key of the Premier II series. Black and white leather upper with a hint of "Bright Crimson" on the tongue. It's gotten to the point now where we can't see any reason why you'd wear a normal SG plate over Anti-Clog (only made by Nike), and for that reason it has to be considered one of Nike's greatest football boot inventions.
