As the weather changes and the nights draw in, Umbro present the Velocita V in a fresh new “White/Carrot/Frost Grey” strip, ready for the autumn and winter months. Yep, we said carrot when talking about a football boot. Didn’t see that one coming…
The Velocita V recently played supporting role to the launch look of the new Tocco, getting decked out in a corresponding “Black/White/Blue” colourway. But now it once again takes centre stage with a fresh new paint job that sees the base white joined by hits of “Frost Grey and “Carrot” colourings. White for snow, orange for the autumnal leaves and Frost Grey for… well, do we really have to explain that one? Yep, this is certainly a seasonal look for the speed silo.
In terms of technology, it’s a case of as you were, so you’ve still got the lightweight Pebax Sprint+ soleplate with that strikingly unique “Memory Flex” upper. It’s comprised of a soft neoprene layer that stretches across the upper of the foot to create a seamless feel. The TPU outer-layer then features a laser-cut auxetic pattern, which allows the upper to stretch in four directions, so not matter which way you’re running, the boot will adjust accordingly. And on the white base, this pattern is all the more visible, acting as the focal point of the boot. Winter’s coming, time to suit up accordingly.
