It features a design that’s inspired by space shuttle reentry capsules descending at hypersonic speeds, and you can expect to see hem on the feet of an undeniably talented roster of hand-picked footballers in the coming days and weeks.
Accelerating the dreams of the next generation, the Dream Speed rockets into its fourth instalment with a bold new aesthetic that’s not a million miles away from the ‘Dragonfly’ launch look for the latest generation of Mercurial, and that’s in line with the fact that this is the first Dream Speed launch to be based on the new Superfly 8 and Vapor 14.
Where the Dream Speed series has previously drawn inspiration from spacecraft before, this time it’s the incredible speed when they re-enter the atmosphere; typical low earth orbit re-entry speeds are near 17,500 mph, and that speed is creating incredible energy caused by friction, resulting in a heat of 1500 degrees Celsius with well-known visible effects.
