Nike Launch The Premier II In "White/Red" & "Black/Silver"

Yes! Football is finally back, bringing a smidge of normality to our lives. And just in time, Nike has launched the staple of grassroots football – the Premier II – in two fresh new colourways, complete with firm ground soleplates, perfect for the warmer spring weather.

The Premier II is your no nonsense boot for the everyman. Constructed from premium leather – including a K-leather vamp – for a super soft touch and feel on the ball, and available in a range of different colourways, all available at sub £100, it really is the perfect boot for grassroots. Heck, scratch that, even Hector Bellerin is a fan. The Arsenal man is free to wear whatever he chooses, not being tied down to a boot contract, and so it speaks volumes of the quality of the Nike Premier II that he has chosen to wear them in recent months. And now Nike present two more homage-laden colourways. It just gets better and better.

The Premier takes obvious influence from the Tiempo, and as such Nike are always quick to give it paint jobs that pay tribute to that line. Back in December, there were two new colourways that nodded to the iconic 2007 Tiempo Ronaldinho 10R. For this latest drop, Nike again coats the Premier II in two colourways and they once again pay tribute to two classic Tiempo looks.

First up is the “Black/Silver” colourway, which borrows the colourway from the limited edition Nike Tiempo Legend V Francesco Totti Boots from 2015. And that’s joined by the “White/Red” look that’s lifted straight from the Nike Air Zoom Tiempo Legend II. Not an entirely unique look for the Premier II, with the silo having adopted a similar look back in January 2019, albeit in a SG variation.

Now that we’re through the winter months though, Nike equip this latest drop with firm ground soleplates, offering perfect traction on the harder pitches that spring and summer are set to bring. You could even get away with playing with these on 4G pitches, although they’re not specifically designed for that, so don’t blame us if that premium leather gets scuffed up a fair bit.
