The “Core Black/Metallic Silver/Gold” X Ghosted arrives somewhat under the radar, and not just because of its stealthy vibes. It arrives seemingly on its own, strolling into town with the confidence of a lone gunman. But that luxurious black and gold look instantly conjures memories of the ‘Atmospheric Pack’ from October last year, which saw the Predator and Nemeziz arriving in similar silky colourways. Coincidence, or just a very late instalment? To be honest, it doesn’t really matter, because this is what it is: a striking new look for the Three Stripes’ speed silo.
So goes without saying that there’s no tech upgrades here, so it still boasts that Speedframe soleplate with a Carbitex carbon fibre insert and that semi translucent Fluroskin upper. But for our money, wrap anything in black and gold and you’re on to a winner, and this drop is no different. The black is the base colour, leaving the gold to pop through the soleplate and heel area, while an added flourish comes in the inclusion of silver on the Three Stripes, positioned as always on the X, across the forefoot. Very tidy and under the radar look.
