Serving up to his Sneakerhead side, Footpack and Soub have teamed up to provide Marcus Thuram with a specially customised pair of Nike Mercurial Vapor 14, inspired by one of the Frenchman’s favourite sneakers, the Jordan 1 Travis Scott x Fragment.
Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram makes no secret of the fact that he’s a sneaker head. So when French brand footpack offered to create him a personalised pair of Nike Mercurial Vapors, it was his favourite sneaker, the Jordan 1 Travis Scott x Fragment, that became the inspiration for the design, created by design artist and customiser, Soub.
The Nike Mercurial Travis Scott, as it has been dubbed, takes an all white Vapor 14, and overlays it with the blue block panels that match the Jordan 1 Travis Scott x Fragment. It also comes complete with the large inverted Swoosh in black on the outer side – a signature of Travis Scott – while a small black swoosh sits on the inside of the foot.
On the heel the "Cactus Jack" has been twisted into "Marcus Jack" to give the pair its signature sign off. On the outside of the heel, the footpack logo sits alongside that of Joaquim Soub, which is on the inside.
Borussia Mönchengladbach play Mainz tonight... could be the perfect opportunity for Thuram to debut his new custom kicks...
