Just in time for the start of the 2022 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, New Balance equip star man, Sadio Mané with a new signature edition Furon 6+, dubbed ‘The Lion Roars’.
Senegal get their Africa Cup of Nations campaign underway on Monday, 10 January, when they take on Zimbabwe, and one of the potential stars of the show, Sadio Mané, will be all the more noticeable thanks to a new pair of special edition signature boots from New Balance. Introduced in vivid Impulse Orange and Blue tones, the boots – named ‘The Lion Roars’ – have been crafted as a symbol of the Senegalese inspiring the next generation of young lions.
Despite a host of new players joining their roster, including big names such as Raheem Sterling, New Balance are always quick to honour their main man (Mané man? Nah…). Most recently they did so in honour of the Liverpool attackers 100th Premier League goal, marking the milestone with a special new look. Now though they gear him up for the coming AFCON tournament with the new look Furon 6+, which features an illustrative soleplate graphic depicting the forward at the peak of his powers while representing his homeland.
