Arriving with a seasonal refresh that will take them into the summer competitions and beyond, New Balance launch the ‘Vivid Spark’ pack, with colour updates for the Furon v6+ and Tekela v3+.

The domestic season may well be over, but with international fixtures, the women’s Euro 2022 and a preseason just around the corner New Balance have taken the opportunity to refresh the ranks (sort of), dropping new looks for its key roster. But if you’re thinking you’ve seen something similar to this already, particularly the Furon v6+, then you’re not mistaken, with the look very much taking cues from Sadio Mané’s signature look for AFCON, which dropped back at the start of the year.

While we had the clean ‘Tri Aura’ pack back in April, the ‘Vivid Spark’ pack arrives as the first widely rolled out pack for New Balance since the ‘Alpha Flair’ pack, which dropped almost a year ago, kicking off proceedings for the 21/22 season.

So we’ve already seen the ‘Vivid Spark’ Furon v6+ on the feet of Bukayo Saka while the England man was on international duty, but now it gets officially revealed. The “Impulse/Illusion Blue” colourway will be seen all the more on pitch from here on, with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Harvey Elliott, Eberechi Eze and Timothy Weah all joining Saka and Mané in the new look.

The under appreciated Tekela v3+ then arrives in its supporting role, adopting the same “Impulse/Illusion Blue” colourway. Again, while we’re anticipating a next gen update in the not too distant future, the ‘Vivid Spark’ version remains the same, boasting a re-engineered stretch knit upper for optimum performance and incorporating a full nylon injected chassis for in-game lightweight stability. A multi-directional stud configuration provides an incredible firm ground feel.
