New Balance Launch The 'Headline Taker' Pack

The latest brand to reveal their hand ahead of the impending World Cup is New Balance, who unveil the ‘Headline Taker’ pack, presenting the Futon v7 and Tekela v4 in fresh new colourways for the tournament and the weeks building up to it.

In a few weeks time the world’s attention will be on Qatar and the football festival that will dominate the footballing world for a month. While national team coaches will be finalising their squads and preparing for the tournament, brands are also gearing up their rosters, providing new looks for their boots, in which players will hope to catch the eye on the greatest stage of them all. And following adidas and PUMA, we now get to see what New Balance’s athletes will be wearing, with the reveal of the ‘Headline Taker’ pack.

So, the name of the pack is pretty self-explanatory. Arriving in a “Bright Lapis/Hi Lite/Silver” colourway, the Furon v7 is crafted for zero distractions and features an innovative Hypoknit upper, with mesh lining and off-set lacing, delivering impressive lockdown, support, and an increased strike zone. The “Bright Lapis” or blue to you and I, is utilised as the base colour, with the “Hi Lite” playing out through the branding and studs, leaving the silver accents to pop on the heel.

The Tekela then inverts that colour way, with the silver taking the primary role, and the blue featuring on the periphery, edged in black. The “Hi Lite” again pops on the branding, while the studs are green. The laceless Tekela incorporates a full-foot stretch-knit upper with minimal texture, plus a laceless closure and directional heel lining for secure lockdown.
