Bringing back a look from the archive, PUMA and Pro:Direct Soccer have partnered for the Future x PowerCat ‘Tokyo’, the first of a line of special edition drops that are being released to celebrate the retailer’s 25th anniversary.
Pro:Direct Soccer have been teasing something special on the way over the last couple of weeks on their social accounts, and the veil has now been lifted off the first of those with the PUMA Future x PowerCat ‘Tokyo’, which sees the retailer partnering with the German brand for what is an exclusive drop. It’s the first launch in what looks set to be a line of upcoming releases, kicking off a period of celebration for the World’s Largest Online Sport Store.
The Future x PowerCat ‘Tokyo’ takes the current Future Ultimate boot and dresses it out in what is one of the most visually striking looks in PUMA’s back catalogue, namely 2011’s PowerCat ‘Tokyo’. The look is homaged perfectly, with the same bright and bold design perfectly capturing the neon spectacle that is the Japanese city.
Black has a much bigger presence in this new release, dominating the heel, collar and tongue area of the design, while the remainder of the upper is white, the contrasting base acting as the perfect canvas for the pink, volt and electric blue accents to pop upon.
Pro:Direct’s logo is subtly placed on the heel tab, completing what is a fitting first entry in the 25th anniversary celebration releases.
