Pantofola d'Oro Launch Lazzarini x Smiley

Bringing a bit of levity to their artisan designs, Pantofola d’Oro have partnered with pop culture ideogram, Smiley to put an iconic twist on the Lazzarini Eco 2.0 football boot.

Pantofola d’Oro are well known for their incredible craftsmanship, and it’s a level that’s maintained across all of the Italian brand’s products; it’s like artwork in football boot form. But now they take a lighter approach to the aesthetics of one of their classics, teaming up with Smiley for a special edition version of the Lazzarini Eco 2.0 that sees the iconic ideogram taking centre stage.

At Smiley, the goal is to spread positivity through smiles, to make the world a happier, kinder place. Continuing to influence modern culture as one of the world’s top global collaboration licensing brands, Smiley has collaborated on high profile activities spanning fashion, art, beauty, homeware, food and beverage, and now, thanks to Pantofola, it arrives in football.

A white base plays host to the trademark smiling face, which is incorporated into every bit of branding, starting with that reworked PdO smiley, embroidered on the lateral side of each boot. On the heel, in place of the usual three stars is the Smiley word mark, which again, is embroidered. A bouncing ball logo features on the tongue, and then , finishing the look is a trio of PdO smileys on the soleplate, visible through the translucent soleplate, replacing the usual three golden stars.
