Continuing to celebrate their 25th anniversary in style, online retailer Pro:Direct has teamed up with Italian craft masters, Pantofola d’Oro for a special edition version of the Lazzarini, limited to just 98 pairs worldwide.
2023 sees online sports retailer Pro:Direct celebrating its 25th anniversary, having established itself back in 1998, and as part of the celebrations, they’ve partnered with various brands for some very exclusive special edition drops. Now we get the latest, thanks to a partnership with Italian brand, Pantofola d’Oro, together giving us the Pantofola d’Oro x PDS Lazzarini 25th anniversary edition, which is limited to just 98 pairs.
The Lazzarini was first introduced by the Pantofola d'Oro in the 1970s. It was named after the founder of the company, Emidio Lazzarini, and was designed to be a high-quality, handcrafted football boot that would offer players the ultimate performance on the pitch. The Lazzarini quickly gained a reputation for its excellent fit, comfort, and durability, and became a favourite among professional players in Italy and beyond.
The Pantofola d’Oro x PDS Lazzarini 25th anniversary edition arrives in a premium, all-over “Silver Chrome” colourway that shimmers in its spectacularity. The dark soleplate features the Pantofola d’Oro wording, alongside a graphic of a football on the left forefoot.
As mentioned, there’s only 98 pairs to coincide with the retailers start date in 1998, and each boot is numbered accordingly on the back of the heel. On the insole, the phrase “25 years of obsession” features alongside dual branding.
The Lazzarini has always been a special boot, but it just got a little bit more so.
