adidas Drop Copa Icon & Copa Gloro In Corresponding Navy Colourways

Heralding an upcoming pack release, adidas have dropped the classy pairing of Copa Icon and Copa Gloro in corresponding navy colourways, ensuring options for grassroots game right up to professional pitches.

There’s hints that a new boot pack is on the way from adidas if you know where to look (check out Alex Telles in a recent training session with Al Nassr), and there’s new fuel for that speculative fire in the form of the Copa Icon and Copa Gloro, both of which have dropped today in corresponding navy tones. It’s a strong look, and both boots together ensure that there are options no matter what standard you play at, with the Copa Icon being a more performance-driven sequel to the classic Copa Mundial, and the Copa Gloro being an all-round champion of the grassroots game.

Arriving in an official colourway of “Legend Ink/Gold Met/Wonder Blue”, the Copa Icon is a modern update of the iconic Copa Mundial. It features the classic K-leather construction that’s synonymous with the iconic Copa Mundial, though it notably doesn’t have the famous fold-over tongue – something that might upset purists. The other notable change is in the soleplate, which has been updated with a modern version, offering a performance that's up to speed with the modern game, replacing the old soleplate that – let's face it – is 40 years old now. Classic, but room for improvement.

Then there’s the Gloro. It’s been given a “Shadow  Navy/Wonder Blue” colourway, with the darker navy tones dominating the premium cow leather upper that the boot is constructed from. Classic performance and the same lower level price point continue to mark the Gloro out as the boot of the people. Absolute belter.
