Shortly following the release of his 'Infinito' boots, adidas have added another signature boot to Messi's impressive catalogue – the X Crazyfast Messi 'Las Estrellas' – with a special design that celebrates his 2022 World Cup triumph with Argentina.
Inspired by Messi's iconic 2022 World Cup boots, the 'Leyenda', the new X Crazyfast Messi 'Las Estrellas' ('The Stars') design incorporates the colours of the Argentinian flag – with a colourway officially dubbed 'Cloud White / Pulse Blue / Gold Metallic' – and features three stars that recognise the nation's hat-trick of World Cup triumphs (1978, 1986 and 2022). Further design details include Messi's logo, the G.O.A.T sign-off and the number 10 on the heel.
While adidas have already paid tribute to Messi's World Cup win with a one-of-one custom 'Leyenda' – a boot that featured two stars and G.O.A.T graphic on the toe box – 'Las Estrellas' is the first official Messi signature boot that celebrates Argentina's landmark win in Qatar. The original 'Leyenda' remains one of the most sought-after football boots ever released, with prices reaching more than £1,000 on resell sites. The new 'Las Estrellas' edition is sure to be highly desired by collectors, but there is no official word from adidas on how many pairs have been released globally.
Messi has been wearing his recently released 'Infinito' boots in action for Inter Miami, but is expected to switch to the new 'Las Estrellas' editions for Argentina's upcoming fixtures against Ecuador and Bolivia.
The X Crazyfast Messi 'Las Estrellas’ is available now from Pro:Direct Soccer whilst stocks last.
