Following on from the popular rerelease of the iconic Adipure 11Pro 2 this week, adidas have produced a limited edition blackout version for Pro:Direct Soccer’s 25th anniversary.
Earlier this week we saw the return of the iconic adidas Adipure 11Pro 2, kept alive and relevant in the collective consciousness for the last decade thanks mainly to one man: Toni Kroos. It dropped in extremely limited numbers in a faithful recreation, built to the exact specifications of the Real Madrid midfielder, complete with the soleplate of the Adipure III. Alongside that release was a slightly wider – but still limited – recreation of the original Adipure 11Pro 2, albeit with some modern tooling to ensure it was up to optimal performance levels for today’s game. And now those two versions are joined by a sleek, understated third option…
For those who may have missed it so far this year, online retail brand, Pro:Direct Soccer are celebrating their 25th anniversary, and they’ve had a helping hand in their celebrations, with some of the biggest sporting brands in the world producing special edition boots for the occasion. And the latest in this prestigious line comes from adidas, who have blacked out the rereleased Adipure 11Pro 2 for a classic visage that is perfectly suited to the core functions of the silo. Only 1,998 pairs have been produced, in a nod to Pro:Direct's founding year.
The rerelease features that same re-stitched upper made from ultra soft, ultra light Taurus leather, which moulds to the foot for the comfort that the 11Pro was renowned for, but it comes riding in on the soleplate from the current COPA Pure in what is the only departure from the original 2013 release. The insole features the dual branding, with the Three Stripes in the left boot, and the Pro:Direct logo in the right.
