Bringing back a classic from the archive, Adidas are relaunching the Adipure 11Pro 2, releasing it in two versions: an ultra limited recreation made to Toni Kroos’ specifications, and a more widely available regular version.

The adidas Adipure 11Pro 2 had a pretty standard existence, launching in late 2013 and lasting for a couple of years in a variety of different colourways before being replaced by the next generation of the line. But over the last decade, one man has single-handedly elevated the status of that boot onto an all new level of appreciation. Toni Kroos has become synonymous with the 11Pro, to the point where the two are now intrinsically linked, with the German International making it the most decorated boot in football history, winning four Champions League titles during his time at Real Madrid. And despite the other colourways, it was always the “White/Black/Blue” option. Now, adidas bring it back…

For this rerelease, adidas has dropped two versions of the 11Pro: an ultra limited version, designed to the exact specifications of Toni Kroos, and a wider release version that recreates the original, although gearing it up for the today’s game with some modern tooling.

First up, the limited edition Toni Kroos special… See, not only would Kroos stubbornly not switch out from the 11Pro, even long after it had been discontinued, he also requested a personal modification, with the inclusion of the soleplate of the Adipure III, which was released back in 2009. And this release includes that bit of customisation, along with the German flag on the heel. It’s a perfect recreation of the boot Kroos wears, and as such it’s only available in his size: 8.5.

For the wider release version, it’s exactly the same upper, minus the German flag, but it comes riding in on the soleplate from the current COPA Pure. It still features that same re-stitched upper made from ultra soft, ultra light Taurus leather, which moulds to the foot for the comfort that the 11Pro was renowned for.

The limited edition adidas Adipure 11Pro 2 'TK' and regular Adiure 11Pro 2 will be available from 24 October at prodirectsport.com/soccer
