Rashford debuted the Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly IX in the Manchester derby yesterday, but now the boot is officially launched, fully revealing the bespoke details contained within its design.
The Nike Air Zoom Mercurial Superfly IX “Marcus Rashford” arrives in a clean white colourway that’s complemented by speckles of neon detailing throughout. The customary Swoosh is outlined in black and filled with a neon gradient of electric pink, orange, and yellow, which follows on the shimmering soleplate. That colouring also features on a thin band that wraps around the heel, featuring the line “When you believe in yourself, incredible things can happen,” – a phrase that’s close to Rashford’s heart. Rounding off the design, Rashford’s signature “MR” logo is added to the collar.
The boots are the headline piece of the wider Marcus Rashford x Nike “Better Believe It”, which features a pair of Nike Air Max Pulse sneakers alongside a full range of clothing and accessories. The shoes are constructed with white knit uppers and gradient medial Swooshes representing sound waves. The Air Max Pulse is designed to traverse lifestyle circles, arriving with light blue uppers, contrasting linear patterns, and tumbled leather borders. As with the Mercurials, Rashford’s initials sit on the tongues, while they also appear on the midsoles alongside tinted Nike logos.
A woven tracksuit jacket, bottoms, T-shirts, and an exclusive football complete the collection, with minimalistic outlines and layered emblems in black, white, and orange hues.
