Offering your favourite PUMA boots in some seductive suits of shade, the German brand reveal the 2024 Eclipse pack, which introduces some “Copper Rose” colouring onto the otherwise black bases.
Every year, PUMA offer up their roster in a blacked out guise known as the Eclipse pack, providing an understated alternative to the usually bright and bold on-pitch colourways that you see on the pros, currently being the Phenomenal Pack. And so it is again with 2024, with the all-new Future 7 Ultimate talking its place in darkness alongside the Ultra Ultimate and King Ultimate for the first time. And for 2024, PUMA include some subtle hits of “Copper Rose” on the designs, adding an elegant element to the collective pack look.
The “Copper Rose” colourings serve to subtly highlight both the branding and parts of the tech of each boot. For the Future 7, it rides above the reshaped PWRTAPE, which now comes in a Y instead of the previous zig zag, helping to provide the pinnacle of lockdown.
The Future 7 boasts 3D grip textures at critical ball contact zones, ensuring the ultimate in control and precision. The textured dots on the instep of the boot have different levels of thickness to provide more stability or flexibility in key areas. The “Copper Rose” colouring makes a cameo here, too, in a nice look that ties in with the laces.
For the Ultra Ultimate and King Ultimate, the latest Eclipse Pack look is a very similar execution. The Formstripe is bordered by the “Copper Rose” on both, and at a glance this makes them hard to tell apart. The obvious key difference is in the heel branding of the latter, which calls out the word “King”. But aside from the aesthetics, which certainly bring the recent special edition King ‘Rudagon’, these two boots couldn’t be more different.
The Ultra Ultimate remains built for speed, so there’s still that re-engineered, lightweight ULTRAWEAVE upper construction, combined with the application of PWRTAPE, drawn from the anatomy of the human foot to provide natural support for quick changes of pace and direction.
For the ever-classy King Ultimate, it’s still all about comfort and control. It’s made with K-BETTER, a non-animal-based upper material that outperformed the previous King’s leather in testing for touch, comfort, and durability. The lightweight outsole features an external heel counter, integrated stability spine, and conical studs, so you have as much control over your movement as you do over the ball.
