Keeping things fresh for the season run-in, adidas have revealed the ‘Energy Citrus’ pack, which sees the Copa Pure 2 and X Crazyfast lining up alongside a nostalgia-heavy colourway for the Predator 24.

The Predator 24 has been specialising in twanging the strings of many fans’ nostalgia-heavy hearts since it dropped at the start of the year, arriving with that fold-over tongue and recently getting a familiar paint job as part of the ‘Roteiro Pack’. Now adidas are at it again, this time dipping into the archives to recreate one of the most iconic Predator colourways of all-time. Yep, the Predator Accelerator ‘Electricity’ is back in all our collective thoughts as adidas present the ‘Energy Citrus Pack’, which also features new vibrant colourways for the Copa Pure 2 and X Crazyfast.

So lets start where all the attention is inevitably going to be with this pack: the Predator 24. It’s already been spotted on the feet of key athletes, including Real Madrid players Nacho and Eder Militao, as well as Alessia Russo. Once again available in a choice of fold-over tongue (FT), laced and laceless, the official colourway is listed as being “Team Solar Yellow/Core Black/Solar Energy”, but to most of us, let’s be honest, it’s just Electricity. Much like the Accelerator that was originally release in 1998 and then rereleased in 2018, here the Predator 24 takes on the Solar Yellow as its base colour, with black playing a prominent supporting role through the collar and tongue (where applicable!). The Solar Energy hits refer to the red hues and tie the release in with the ‘Solar Energy’ launch look.

While the spotlight will most likely be stolen by the Predator, the new colourways for the COPA Pure 2 and X Crazyfast should not be overlooked. The former, in particular, takes on a luxurious burgundy look (officially "Shadow Red/White/Team Solar Yellow") that's not a common sight on the pitch (the wine-inspired Nike Tiempo Legend 6 for Andrea Pirlo is one of the only other occasions of this colour being used that springs readily to mind).

And completing the pack is the brighter X Crazyfast – likely one of the last colourways for this model, with a new prototype speed boot doing the rounds recently. And so it's a "Solar Red/White/Team Solar Yellow" look that's dominated by the brighter red colour, with yellow as an accent colour around the collar.
