Nike Drop The Phantom 'Barna'

Inspired by the city of Barcelona and its love of the game, Nike have revealed the Phantom ‘Barna’ collection, pairing up the Phantom Luna II and GX II in a white base coat with a graphic of geometric shapes that pay homage to the city’s street art and architecture.

While it might be uncertain times for Nike and FC Barcelona, with a much-publicised-but-still-rumoured split between brand and club on the cards, the Swoosh are celebrating their special relationship with the Catalan capital with the special edition Phantom ‘Barna’ – the widely accepted short name for the city of Barcelona (BARceloNA). It’s another Phantom-only release, as has been seen with the ‘Thunder’ and ‘Vortex’ packs recently, with only the Phantom Luna II and GX II present.

Following recent updates, the only difference between the Luna II and the GX II these days is the presence of the former’s dynamic fit collar. Both boots offer the same grip knit upper and the Cyclone 360 soleplate, making them virtually indistinguishable – just whether you favour a collar or not. The ‘Barna’ design features a crisp white upper with geometric shapes towards the rear of the boot which pay homage to Barcelona’s street art and architecture.
