Preparation for this summer’s international tournaments is well underway, and with nations announcing their squads, Nike has unveiled its roster of Air Zoom Mercurial, Phantom and Tiempo all suited up in uniform colourways for what is the ‘Mad Brilliance’ pack.
With the climax of the season, Nike ramped up their on-pitch offerings first with the ‘Rising Gem’ pack, which was created to highlight the the effort and brilliance of some of the game’s best young players, quickly followed by the ‘SoCal’ pack, which celebrated all things Southern California with an eye catching design. Now focus switches from domestic competition to the international stage, with the Swoosh unveiling the ‘Mad Brilliance’ pack.
So far in the 23/24 season Nike have been ‘Ready’, ‘Peak Ready’, and then ‘Mad Ready’ with their boot packs. Now they’re still mad, but playing off of 2016’s ‘Spark Brilliance’ pack, released ahead of the Euros in France, they’re all about ‘Mad Brilliance’, coating the Air Zoom Mercurial (in both Vapor XV and Superfly IX), Phantom (in GX and Luna), and Tiempo Legend X in pink hues that are sure to standout on pitch.
For the Mercurial it’s a “Pink Foam/Black” combo, with a gradient of pink shades playing out across the upper, while the branding contrasts in black.
The Phantom sees a more solid look for the pink in the “Sunset Pulse/Black” colourway, while the Tiempo follows the Mercurial more with the same “Pink Foam/Black” colourway title presenting again in a faded execution that starts darker at the heel, fading to lighter in the forefoot.
