Arriving as the only F50 available to the public to feature tech specifications unique to the man himself, adidas unveil Lionel Messi’s latest signature edition boot, the F50 Messi ‘Triunfo Dorado’.

As Argentina look to defend their Copa America title, adidas have equipped captain and talisman, Lionel Messi, with a new pair of signature F50 boots. Known as the ‘Triunfo Dorado’, the visual design is inspired by one of the franchise’s most iconic boots – the F50 Prime. The Prime was originally released in season 2014/15, a season in which Leo won the League, Cup and Champions League treble while breaking the all-time record for goals scored in the Spanish top division (43 in 38 appearances – and 21 assists).

Presented in a “Gold Met/Ftwr White/Core Black” colourway, the look is a nod to Messi’s historic recent achievements on the international stage with Argentina, and his status as current champion of both the World and the Americas.

For the first time ever, the boots available for retail include some of the exact, unique design specifications Messi chooses for his own on-pitch footwear. This includes the closure of the ‘burrito’ style tongue, which has been adapted to Messi’s preferred fit, with it also being engineered with knit material for maximum comfort. The Hybrid Touch upper updates the recently released inline F50 with a synthetic suede and foil material with soft haptic designed for vamp stability and comfort when touching the ball at speed.

Along with the F50 'Triunfo Dorado', adidas have also released a signature Samba, perfectly complementing the on-pitch boot with an off-pitch look that inverts the former's colourway to sleek effect.
