New Balance has today revealed a collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore for ALD’s on-pitch debut, with a collaborative take on elite performance. The Furon v7+ has already been worn by Bukayo Saka in England’s opening Euro 2024 games.
Those with a sharp eye will have noticed that Bukayo Saka played in England’s opening matches against Serbia and Denmark in a special pair of Furon v7+ boots. And it turns out that they are a new signature edition pair, which come courtesy of a collaboration between New Balance and Aimé Leon Dore, which signal’s the New York-based fashion and lifestyle brand’s debut in the performance arena.
The collaborative take on the Furon 7+ is an expression of the brand’s refined aesthetic, infused with early 2000s performance design cues. A gradient take on the signature green, gold, and white Aimé Leon Dore colourway is applied across the boot’s upper and on the lightweight, combination nylon and TPU plate, with the toe to heel progression of colours symbolising future victories on the pitch.
Saka’s signature logo is featured at the heel foxing, while a graphic sockliner features the ‘Aimé’ wordmark.
The boot still features the same tech as the regular Furon v7+, so you’re still getting a lightweight yet supportive Hypoknit with mesh lining upper construction, paired with off-set lacing.
Expect to see Saka wearing these again when England line-up for their decisive group game against Slovenia on Tuesday night.
The ALD for the New Balance Furon 7+ Pro launches exclusively through Aimé Leon Dore starting 21 June and globally on NewBalance.com on 28 June.
