Nike Drop The 'Mad Ambition' Pack

Tapping into the mindset that should be present at this time of year, Nike drop the ‘Mad Ambition’ pack, giving the Air Zoom Mercurial, Phantom and Tiempo new blue-heavy colourways.

With the summer international tournaments all but out of the way (just the Olympics to go) attention is firmly on preparation for the coming season, and for this Nike drop the ‘Mad Ambition’ pack. For it, the Air Mercurial Superfly X and Vapor XVI, Phantom GX II and Luna II, and Tiempo Legend X get suited up in a range of blue hues, chosen as blue is a colour closely associated with lightweight and vision.

Towards the end of last season, Nike went a bit mad, with first the ‘Mad Ready’ pack, and then the ‘Mad Brilliance’ pack. That ‘Mad’ theme continues on here for the commencement of a second season, and you can expect to see Swoosh players switching into these new colourways for preseason training.

The Mercurial comes in a “Glacier Blue/Blue Orbit” colourway, with the lighter blue as a base colour and the darker blue lending emphasis to the branding.

The Phantom twins then take on a slightly darker blue, called “Blue Fury”, and that dominates the look, with white accents only featuring on the Swooshes.

Finally, the Tiempo Legend X goes for a darker blue again, although it’s joined by bigger blocks of white and black through the heel and oversized Swoosh that runs down the sides.
