Dropping in time for the return of Europe’s premier club competition for 24/25, New Balance have dropped the ‘Power Surge’ pack, wrapping the Furon v7+ and Tekela v4+ in fresh new colourways.
With domestic competition well and truly underway, attention switches to the return of European competition, with the Champions League and Europa League tournaments set to get underway this week. With that in mind, New Balance have refreshed their ranks with the ‘Power Surge’ pack, which sees the Furon v7+ and Tekela v4+ dressed out in contrasting blue and orange hues, ready for the action that’s set to get underway across the continent.
The Tekela v4+ was worn by Real Madrid’s latest star-in-the-making, Endrick, over the weekend during training at the club’s camp. Endrick is set to debut the boots in this week’s Champions League match against Stuttgart, whilst superstars Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling will sport the latest Furon v7+ for Arsenal’s game against Atalanta. The ‘Power Surge’ pack will be worn by other New Balance athletes including Eberechi Eze, Michelle Cooper and Jordyn Huitema in their upcoming weekend fixtures.
For the Furon v7+, it's a "Orange/Blue" colourway, with Orange as the base colour, dominating the look, and blue playing backup as an accent in the branding. The Tekela v4+ then inverts that look, with a blue base and orange featuring in the "N" branding. Both boots then feature a labyrinth graphic element on the heels, representing the many twists and turns that the European tournaments will take over the season.
From a tech-perspective, there's nothing new here. The Furon 7+ Pro FG combines a supportive Hypoknit upper with off-set lacing for a cleaner strike. Its V-shaped stud configuration is specifically engineered to enhance performance on firm ground surfaces.
