PUMA Reveal The 'Lights Out' Pack

As we plough into the second round of European fixtures for the season, PUMA launch the ‘Lights Out’ pack, providing fresh new colour updates to the ULTRA, FUTURE and KING boots.

Domestic competition is well into its groove across the continent, and the European competitions are just starting to heat up as we head into the second round of fixtures, so what better time to drop a new colour update to your roster to shine on the pitches under the lights? That’s PUMA’s thinking anyway, as they reveal the ‘Lights Out’ pack, riffing on the idea of football at full throttle and putting you in the driver’s seat – lights out, game on.

Of course, PUMA making the link to motorsport isn’t just a one off coincidence for this pack name – their links are seemingly strengthened with every new release, and none more so than the recent ‘Formula Pack’ Ultra 5. See, the Lights Out pack features the Ultra 5 in Ultimate and Carbon editions, and the latter integrates a custom SpeedSystem Carbon outsole made of carbon fibre, which makes it 32 percent springier than the non-carbon version, developed using engineering insights from PUMA Motorsport. Both versions are presented in the same “Fizzy Apple/Puma White/Bluemazing” colourway, with the green as the base colour and the blue as an accent.

Moving on to the Future 7, and it rocks up in a really impressive “Gray Skies/Puma White/Fizzy Apple” colourway. There aren’t many looks these days that are properly unique for football boots, but this one certainly is. The grey/blue base plays host to graphic overlays of green and lighter blue tones. Tech-wise, the Future 7 is designed with an adaptive FUZIONFIT360 upper that provides the ultimate fit. Combining PWRPRINT, PWRTAPE, engineered dual mesh, and stretchy knit for a snug, supportive fit for 360-degree freedom of movement on pitch.

For enhanced touch the Future features 3D grip textures designed for ultimate ball control, while for optimal agility it utilises the Dynamic Motion System outsole to enhance stability, agility, and traction. Expect to see the likes of Kai Havertz and Jack Grealish in these in the coming weeks.

Finally, completing the set is the King. It comes in a Frosted Dew/Fizzy Apple/Gray Skies” colourway, and it features a combination of the non-animal-based K-BETTER upper material and the GRIPCONTROL 3D structure on the medial side for enhanced ball control, optimal touch, comfort, and durability. The lightweight outsole features an external heel counter, integrated stability spine, and conical studs.
