Capping off what has been a milestone year for the youngster, adidas has unveiled its first-ever signature boot for Spanish prodigy, Lamine Yamal – the F50 LY304.
2024 has been quite the year for Lamine Yamal. Not only did he breakout into the Barcelona first team and Spanish national side, winning EURO ’24, he was also named Europe’s best under 21 player. Oh, and in amongst all that he also graduated from high school. To honour all of that, Adidas has rewarded him with his first-ever signature boot: the F50 LY304.
Co-designed with Lamine himself, the F50 LY304 is a bold statement of the flair and skill that’s seen him scoop the Kopa Trophy at this year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony. The boot features a striking pink base, one of Lamine’s favourite colours, while the iconic F50 logo on the outer foot is replaced with ‘304’ – a nod to the postcode of his hometown, rendered in gold to honour the community that has watched him evolve from a promising talent into a generational force.
Speaking about his collaboration with adidas, Lamine Yamal said: “This year has been like a dream for me, and working with adidas on my first signature boot has been super cool. When they invited me to work with the designers and be part of creating it, I was so excited to see how it all comes together and to add my personal touch. Pink is one of my favourite colours and I’m a player who loves to bring flair to the pitch, so it was important to me that the boots stand out and of course, we made sure to represent the 304 in the best way. I can’t wait to wear them on the field."
