adidas Drop New Signature F50 For Lionel Messi

He’s back again with another F50. The eight-time Ballon D’or winner receives his latest signature boot with ‘La Vida Rapida’. This F50 model will be worn exclusively by Lionel Messi as well as ten young ballers that have been chosen to ball out in them.

Adidas are not shy of gifting Messi a signature boot, the Argentinian now has over 35 signatures since signing with adi. They still hit every time. The latest boot comes in the iconic F50 silo – a favourite of Messi’s. We have seen some iconic moments from the World Cup winner in this silo. 2009 – Messi kisses his +f50i boot after scoring in the Champions League Final, going on to win the treble as well as his first Ballon D’or that season. His love for the silo has always been clear, so it was no surprise to see Leo straight back wearing them after they made their return last year, after almost a decade out.

The latest drop offers a fresh twist on last year’s F50 ‘Triunfo Estelar’ with some visual design updates, including a ‘Messi +10’ sign off in homage to the ten rising ballers who will also be lacing up the boots. These players include Lamine Yamal, Claudio Echeverri, Jaedyn Shaw, Antonio Nusa, Joel Ndala, Cavan Sullivan, Vicky Lopez, Kenan Yildiz, Assan Quedraogo, and Eliesse Ben Seghir

“Developing my latest boot with adidas has been another incredible experience and I can’t wait to wear them on-pitch. I am also very grateful that all these young talents like the boots and want to wear them, and I’m excited to see how they perform.” said Lionel Messi.

As with all F50’s, the focus around the boot is speed – hence the name ‘La Vida Rapida’, ‘The Fast Life’. This is why adidas and Messi chose an electric colour scheme of “Silver Met/Solar Yellow/Lucid Blue” for their latest partnership. As well as obvious visual updates, another update includes jagged haptic lines across the upper rather than the smooth lines seen on previous models. Of course, the boot features the esteemed ‘Messi’ logo on the heel as well as subtly detailed within the haptic lines on the inside of the upper.

‘La Vida Rapida’ is crafted with the latest F50 technology including the Sprintframe 360 soleplate which is designed to provide optimal stability and traction to facilitate multidirectional speed and acceleration. A Hybridtouch Upper sees a lightweight, synthetic material that offers a moulded fit to provide comfort at top speeds for those pacey players. Also included is a Burrito Tongue closure system, a design adapted for Leo’s preferred fit, engineered with knit material for maximum comfort

The boot will be worn for the first time by Messi on 14 February, followed by the ten young players in the coming weeks.
