AC Milan star Christian Pulisic becomes the latest to receive a new signature boot from PUMA. Arriving in the chosen silo of the USA captain – Ultra 5 – the ‘Dream Chaser’ boot embodies inspiration and desire, serving alongside the PUMA x Pulisic Legacy program which was founded to inspire the next gen of soccer fans in his home country.
Since joining PUMA back in 2021, Pulisic has reached new heights. At AC Milan, he has turned himself into one of the star players, accumulating 17 goal involvements already this season. The latest PUMA drop comes as his sixth signature in, arguably, the most vibrant one yet. With a theme around ‘Dream Chaser’, the Ultra 5 sees a disruptive visual update amongst multiple inspirational features – linking to the program founded by himself and PUMA to help progress youth soccer in the US.
The Ultra 5 is dressed in a “Purple/Green Glare/Black” colourway, the green being the main focus of the upper, which fizzes out into a lilac shade around the heel. Sticking to the ‘Dream Chaser’ theme, a quote can be seen under the laces reading “never doubt what you can achieve when you put your mind to it” – chosen by the AC Milan star to help motivate and inspire the next generation of ballers. The word ‘Desire’ appears in a disruptive graphic across the instep, as well as written on the insole next to “is the starting point of all achievement”. Subtle nods to Pulisic can be spotted around the boot, with his classic ‘CP’ logo (as seen on all his signatures) stamped on the heel, as well as his unique signature featuring on the instep. Finished with a ‘Since 1998’ sign off – his birth year.
The silo is fashioned with the same innovative technology seen in previous colourways, with PUMA’s esteemed PWRTAPE SQD support frame offering maximal stability during cuts and turns. Again, Orthalite heel cushioning can be seen in the heel as to give that extra comfort for a hard 90 minutes.
Although officially released today, Pulisic gave us a first look at his latest signature last weekend during AC Milan's Serie A clash with Verona, and continued to wear them during their Champions League match on Tuesday. We can look forward to seeing more Pulisic flair in the 'Dream Chaser'.
