PUMA & Pro:Direct Fire Up Next Ultra Racetracks: Miami Edition

The need for speed continues as PUMA and Pro:Direct bring us the next edition of the F1 Ultra Racetracks series, this time it’s bienvenido a Miami. Starting in Mexico, racing to Japan, and now parking in a city packed with vibrancy and style – this project is bringing the ferocity of the track to the pitch.

Bringing the Miami heat this summer, PUMA and Pro:Direct release the latest boot in their F1 Ultra Racetracks series and we are heading to the 305. After quick pitstops in Mexico and Japan for previous launches, the Ultra now follows the Grand Prix to Miami and welcomes the city with open arms.

Blending two sporting worlds together, the PUMA Ultra is reimagined to match the energy of the Miami Grand Prix. One thing they both share is the love for the speed, the Ultra remaining one of the top choices for some of the fastest players in the world, whilst the F1 is made up of adrenaline-junkie racers – a match made in heaven. This boot launch celebrates both the city itself and the racetrack with a stunning design that perfectly embodies Miami Vice DNA.

Now, this boot is loaded with subtle detailing, so let’s start to unpack it. Starting with the general aesthetic of the boot, the Ultra is dressed in signature Miami colours. Neon blues and electric pinks scream speed as they wrap around the upper. Although the Ultra is known for its disruptive graphics, this launch takes it to new levels with crazy graphics all across the upper, from palm trees to track layouts it has it all. These graphics pay tribute to the art deco culture of Miami, flashing unique creative design and bringing it to life on the pitch.

Looking at some finer detailing now, the classic PUMA form strip is decorated with the Miami International Autodrome silhouette, racing around the Hard Rock Stadium – the home of the Miami Dolphins. Within the print of the stadium is the number ‘57’ which is a subtle nod to the number of laps the race is made up of. Underneath the form strip lies a subtle nod to the total track length, with 308.326km inscribed in pink.

Moving onto the instep, PUMA and Pro pay tribute to Max Verstappen’s record-breaking lap during the 2022 Miami Grand Prix with the time he completed it in. Although the upper takes the spotlight, in the insole cannot be forgotten. Palm tree graphics take over the sockliner as well as featuring on the PUMA podium wreath seen on previous models. Completing the look– a stunning rose gold soleplate, glazed with a chrome finish just to add that extra touch of Miami luxury.

The Ultra Ractracks x Miami is a game changer for football, seriously bringing the heat to the pitch. Kitted with all the usual silo technology, it’s crafted to look fast and be fast, and that is exactly what it does. Puma and Pro:Direct, you have hit all the marks with this one.
