Taking the women’s game to another level, PUMA drop the all-new Future 8 Ultimate Women's Fit 2.0 – focusing on an improved and elevated women’s fit. The brand bring updated technology to the table, whilst still leaving room for an eye-catching aesthetic ready to shine on the big stage during the Women's Euros in July.
It is that time of year, PUMA have unveiled the third chapter of the Brilliance pack – a series started by the brand to unlock new levels to the women’s game through cutting edge technology and adapted fits. This latest launch sees the Future 8 dressed in a stunning colourful aesthetic, whilst modelling updated Women’s fit 2.0 technology designed by PUMA to improve performance, stability and comfort whilst reducing chance of injury. This comes as football boot designers look to the future, with the rapid growth of the women's game the need for well-made apparel is desperate within the sport, particularly with the increased quantity of injuries. It's about time we do something about it.
The clock is running down until the start of the Women’s Euros, which is set to begin in July, so it is no shock to see one of the most innovative brands unleashing a new level to the women’s apparel game, just in time for their key athletes competing in the summer. Although the Future silo is the only model to be released at the moment, Fridolina Rolfo, Laia Codina and Ingrid Engen have all been spotted lacing up all three silos during the women’s Champions League final ahead of its launch. So it can be presumed we will be seeing a lot of big moments from this pack later in the summer.
The aesthetic of the boots all drag inspiration from the Euros – one of the biggest tournaments an athlete will compete in during their career. The pure white body of the boot is inspired by the brightness of the flood lights which shine down on the players, whilst the splash of colours that engulf the soleplate and lower upper is designed to inspire each athlete, remembering it is their moment to paint their own colour on the white canvas of the football pitch.
As said previously, this latest Future 8 launch features Women’s Fit 2.0 technology – updated from their previous release. Let’s have a look through some of the improvements. Starting with the collar, the knit material has been crafted for a higher and tighter fit, providing the ultimate lockdown for the female player. The heel has also been adapted with an added foam layer, allowing an all-round secure feel to the heel whilst maximising comfort and reducing blisters. Finally, for the first time, PUMA have designed an ‘Insole for Her’ – a specifically engineered insole for the female foot, with extra cushioning and reinforced arch support.
Now, we can't miss out one of the finer details on this gorgeous boot. Sitting on the instep is the co-ordinates of where champions will be made – the location of the Women's Euros Final 2025. Who will be there? We don't know yet, but we can't wait to see the journey.
This launch is due to be available for purchase in the coming weeks, as we wait for the other two silos to be unveiled soon...
