adidas Bring Back Classic Leather Aesthetics With New 'Obsidian Strike' Predator

Adidas have officially unveiled the new Predator ‘Obsidian Strike’, the latest edition of the fan favourite silo. This drop is football heritage meets adidas innovation at its finest, dressing the Predator 25 model in a soft leather upper for the first time.

The first leather Predator 25 is here as adidas reveal ‘Obsidian Strike’, a launch where all of the silo’s rich 30-year history comes to life in a new, forward-thinking design. This iteration doesn’t just revisit classic adidas DNA, it rewrites it with contemporary style. Whilst black, red, and white still stands as the Predator classic, the traditional white accents are this time swapped out for some premium silver detailing, moving into the future of design.

Cloaked in a deep matte black, the design is accented with sharp flashes of silver and red – a trio that looks unmistakeably class. The dominating matte aesthetic offers a sense of stealth and effortless cool. Meanwhile, a silver chrome treatment across the fold-over tongue and iconic Three Stripes adds a more refined finish. Vivid red flashes bring an added energy to the design, whilst keeping to the unwritten rule of heritage that is scripted all over this launch.

As stated before, this is the first time the latest Predator 25 model will be dressed in leather as the upper is constructed from a Fusionskin leather, offering a natural touch and maximum comfort.  Proper Predator style.

Fans will be happy to see the original Predator eyes logo makes its return to the boot, after previously featuring on the ‘Predator Moments’ edition earlier in the year. A true icon of adidas. On the back of the heel, a shining silver ‘Pred’ sign off proudly sits, closely perched next to the ‘1994’ – a nod to the Predator’s birth year.
