Football boots might be getting lighter and faster with every generation, but there’s still something special about the feel of leather. With the new adidas Leather Tech Pack, the Three Stripes blends classic craftsmanship with modern innovation, delivering the best of both worlds across the Predator Elite FT L-Tech and F50 Elite Hyperfast L-Tech.

Veering back into a more traditional space for football boot construction, adidas has brought premium leather back into the spotlight, combining a leather forefoot with a lightweight technical quarter across two of its most iconic silos. The idea is simple: retain that soft, cushioned touch on the ball where it matters most, while benefiting from the lightweight support, lockdown and comfort modern football demands around the heel and midfoot. It's a combination that feels like a natural evolution rather than a step back. Players get the timeless feel of leather in the striking zone, paired with the performance features that have made today's football boots faster and more responsive than ever. And, as an added bonus, both boots look absolutely superb.

Leading the pack is the Predator Elite FT L-Tech, arriving in what is arguably Predator's most iconic look: black and red. It's a colour combination that instantly evokes memories of some of the greatest Predator models ever made, and adidas has leaned heavily into that heritage.

The premium leather forefoot delivers that classic Predator touch, while the signature fold-over tongue returns in a vivid red finish, complete with embroidered Predator eyes for an unmistakable throwback aesthetic. But it's the finer details that really make this release stand out.

Throughout the design, adidas has hidden a collection of text easter eggs that celebrate the incredible history of the Predator franchise. An embroidered "1994" appears on the left boot, marking the year the original Predator launched and changed football boot design forever.

The nostalgia continues with the original Predator eyes featured on the right heel, while the iconic Predator wordmark appears on the left heel, the elastic strap and even underneath the tongue. Then there are the tally marks: 13 on the right boot and 10 on the left. Added together, they represent the fact that this is the 23rd Predator model, a subtle but clever nod to the silo's evolution across more than three decades.

While the Predator grabs attention with its bold heritage styling, the F50 Elite Hyperfast L-Tech takes a more understated approach.

Presented in a "Zero Met./Core Black/Solar Orange" colourway, the design draws inspiration from one of the most recognisable speed boot franchises in football history. Its mix of white, silver and black directly references the original F50 aesthetic, while hits of bright Solar Orange inject a modern edge.

Like its Predator counterpart, the F50 Hyperfast L-Tech combines a premium leather forefoot with contemporary performance technologies. The result is a speed boot that feels a little more traditional where it counts, without compromising the lightweight characteristics that define the modern F50.

Further heritage touches arrive through the updated Sprintweb graphics, which deliver a clear archive-inspired look, while embossed F50 branding reinforces the connection between past and present. It's a thoughtful execution that manages to celebrate the franchise's roots while still feeling completely up to date.

Two boots that embrace the qualities that players have loved about leather for decades, hitting that sweet spot between football's past and present like a finely struck Beckham freekick.
