When adidas and Yohji Yamamoto get together, the result is rarely subtle. For 2026, the long-running Y-3 partnership returns to the pitch in time for one of the feistiest fixtures on the calendar, with the F50 pitted once again against the Predator in the same way that Real Madrid face up to Barcelona.
Dubbed the Y-3 x El Clásico Pack due to the obvious fact that it will feature prominently in this weekend’s fixture, the collection sees the latest F50 Hyperfast and Predator FT transformed through a design language that throws back to some of the most unique boots to ever grace a football pitch. So expect to see Lamine Yamal in the Blaugrana colours with the Dragon F50 on one side, and Jude Bellingham in the Blanco with the Tiger Predator on the other.
The pack takes cues from the legendary 2006 Y-3 +F50 Tunit ‘Beast Pack’ and the equally iconic 2014 Yamamoto adizero F50, two releases that helped redefine what a football boot could look like. Following the return of the +F50 Tunit ‘Beast Pack’ in sneaker form earlier this year, it’ll be a welcome return to see these designs back on the pitch.
Known as the F50 ‘Dragon’, the adidas F50 Hyperfast x Y-3 is officially presented in "Lucid Ray Blue/Core Black/Collegiate Royal". The design sees it wrapped in an intricate mythical dragon graphic stretching across the entire upper. Layers of blue, teal and icy white combine to create a striking visual effect, while fierce dragon eyes and scale-like detailing complete the look.
Alongside it sits the adidas Predator FT x Y-3 in "Crew Yellow/Ftwr White/Core Black". Nicknamed the Predator ‘Tiger’, the boot channels Yohji Yamamoto’s signature artistic style through a bold hand-painted tiger graphic. Vibrant yellow, orange and black tones cover the upper, giving the Predator an aggressive look that perfectly matches the silo’s reputation on the pitch.
As ever, though, this collection is about more than just aesthetics. Both boots successfully bridge the gap between high fashion and high performance. Yohji Yamamoto’s signature cursive branding appears across the heel and translucent soleplate, while underneath the artwork sit the same elite-level technologies trusted by professional players.
Lightweight constructions and Sprintframe tooling ensure that, despite their gallery-worthy appearance, both models remain purpose-built for matchday performance.
So who comes out on top come close of play on Sunday, Yamal's F50's or Bellingham's Predators?
