After making a wealth cameos in the build-up to the HyperVenom’s update, it's now time for Nike’s newest match ball to step into the light and it's a bit of a show-stopper. Introducing the Nike Ordem 3, the official match ball for the 2015/16 Premier League season.
Rolling out in alternative colourways for Serie A and La Liga the Ordem 3 bounces into the new season as Nike's most vibrant and graphic official matchball yet. Providing the most accurate flight, consistent touch, and the highest level of visibility the Ordem is built from 15 years of Nike match ball technology. The Aerowtrac grooves remain to keep the ball steady as it moves through the air and a geometric 12-panel design and synthetic leather casing provide the same consistent feel where ever the ball is struck.
Every year, Nike usually sticks with the same three/four colours for their match ball updates, but 2015 is massively different, much bolder. In Nike's words they're ensuring that their ball keeps up with the “constant evolution” of the game. A bright colour change known as a “Visual Power Graphic” is printed across the Ordem 3 so “players catch sight of the ball quicker, facilitating rapid decision-making, instant reactions and, ultimately, enhanced performance.”
It's not traditional but what would be the fun in that? Not sure what's come over us but we can't get enough of that Serie A design. Roll on the new season.
