This here be the official match ball for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and she goes by the name of Krasava. Inspired by the host nation Russia and representing a Russian Ruby, the name 'Krasava' is a word used by the natives to describe a beautiful and creative team performance.
To be kicked in anger for the first time on November 14th when Russia host Romania in a friendly, the Krasava will take centre stage for real when the 2017 Confederations Cup is contested by the six continental champions, including Mexico and Germany, who will battle it out a year before the 2018 FIFA World Cup kicks off. Again, in Russia.
A striking red design with jagged lines is pretty much what we're looking at. That and it's round. Tech wise it's the same again with adidas very much sticking to what they believe is the best ball design yet. It's the same panel structure as the Beau Jeu and Fracas, adidas balls that were used in the group and knockout stages of UEFA Euro 2016. If it ain't broke, just stick some different graphics on it.
