Try to contain your excitement for today is the day. Yep, tonight sees the first round of UEFA Nations League fixtures. We're not going to even attempt to explain what it is, or how it works, but we can show you the new match ball that will be used.
The new tournament, which somewhat replaces friendlies and somewhat contributes towards EURO 2020 qualification (we think), kicks off this evening with Germany vs France the pick of the fixtures in a clash of current versus former World Champions.
Anyway, the ball. This here is the official adidas ball for the tournament and it's essetianlly a redecorated design of the adidas Telstar 18 ball that was used at the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Specific panels take on a vibrant colour scheme to represent the 55 competing nations. Alright, isn't it?
