Barely feels like any time at all has passed since the 19/20 competition ended with Bayern crowned champions, and yet now we’re looking forward to the prospect of the new campaign getting underway with the reveal of the 20/21 official Champions League match ball, once again from adidas.
With the play-offs for the 2020-21 UEFA Champions League group stage underway, the official match ball for the competition proper has been unveiled by manufacturers adidas. The Finale 20 as it’s known combines “White/Team Royal Blue/Signal Coral/Sky Tint” across the familiar star design. The dynamic design frames the stars in blue, making it look as though they're shooting across the surface when the ball is in flight. Even the performance-enhancing surface texture takes the form of tiny stars.
From a tech perspective, this ball is the same as last season’s offering for both the group stages and the knockout stages, so you can expect to see the latest adidas performance technology to help ensure Europe’s top players can perform at their best during the UEFA Champions League Final.
The third qualifying round of the 20/21 Champions League campaign gets underway on Tuesday 15 September, and you can expect to see the Adidas Finale 20 Pro making its debut in those games.
