Packed with innovation and wrapped up in Samba style, Nike have unveiled the new official match ball of the Brasileirão, with a design inspired by the iconic kit of the Brazilian national team.
The yellow and blue of the Brazilian national team is unmistakeable; the Selecao bringing their samba style. And so it’s fitting that the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) have used it as inspiration for the latest official match ball from Nike. The ball will be used in the Intelbras Cup in Brazil and then the Brasileirão Assaí – Serie A.
As may be assumed, the new Brasil Flight ball from Nike is no different from any other flight ball from a tech perspective, so you still have the AerowSculpt technology, which delivers a measurable benefit of 30 percent truer flight than its predecessor. But it’s in the aesthetics that this one stands out, with the CBF logo printed on the blue panels, which in turn work alongside the yellow details, all of which sit on the traditional white base. Unmistakably Brazilian this one.
“The Brasileirão Assaí and the Intelbras do Brasil Cup involve fans across the country,” explained CBF's Marketing Director, Gilberto Ratto. “Especially, at a time when we only have to watch the matches on TV, the show as a whole makes a lot of difference. The new Nike Brasil Flight Ball is part of this entertainment package presented by CBF, which thinks about all the details to enhance competitions.”
The Nike Brasil Flight Ball is currently unavailable for retail outside of Brazil.
