It’s been three long, arduous days since the last game of the 22/23 Serie A season, and finally, after all that waiting, attention can turn to the next campaign, which is heralded by the reveal of the the new Serie A match ball from PUMA, taking the baton from the 22/23 version. The design is inspired by Italy’s rich heritage in motorsport, which, just like football, unites people of different social status and backgrounds.
The PUMA Orbita Serie A 23/24 official match ball features bold, impactful graphics that are translated into a unique configuration of 12 large, star-shaped panels to offer a reduced number of seams, allowing for a better connection with the ball.
It uses cutting-edge technology to create an optimal ball that maintains its shape and allows for less water absorption. In fact, POE foam is added to increase touch sensitivity, providing a firmer feel and improved rebound consistency. In addition, the 1.2 mm 3D textured PU surface improves aerodynamics and increases abrasion and wear resistance, prolonging durability. The ball also features a rubber bladder and PUMA Air Lock (PAL) valve for optimal air retention and rebound.
