adidas have dropped the official match ball for the 2014/15 Champions League season. The famous star design that has featured on the ball since 2001 has been updated with a colourway that reflects the national flag of the country hosting the final. The road to Berlin has begun.
The adidas Finale 14 ball will be used in the qualifiers and group stage of the 2014/2015 Champions League, which kicks off on September 16. As with the Brazuca and previous Champions League ball, adidas look to have settled on what they claim to be the perfect football, the Finale 14 features the same panel design as last season's edition as well as the a thermally bonded, seamless surface found on the World Cup ball. The ball is expected to be replaced by an updated version for the knockout stages up until the final in the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
