Animal Instincts Goalkeeper Gloves by Sells
Over the winter months the Sells goalkeeping team has spent considerable time with African wildlife, and have discovered a real link between animals and their ability to make their goalkeepers seem invincible to forwards!
Rumour has it this Zebra design is part of an Animal Instincts range of goalkeeper gloves. The theory is that by dressing the body and hands in animal skin products, Sells goalkeepers look and feel animal-like with animal instincts. Forwards are put off by ferocious creatures and would run the other way rather than in on goal, the products draw on human instinct that can make a split-second difference.
Penalty shoot outs become even more difficult - would you fancy facing a Zebra,Leopard or Tiger on the run up ? Imagine at corners when out of the corner of your eye you see a leopard springing for the ball!
With the likes of Ben Foster rumoured to be training in the Zebra gloves, we spoke to Sells Product Director David Baxter who informed us:
"The aim of the range is to make the goalkeepers look more fierce and behave like animals on the pitch within the laws of the game. By dressing like animals you become animals; running faster, jumping higher and shouting louder."
