After learning from the best at FC Barcelona's Joan Gamper training ground, it was time for the Nike Academy lads to take on the best as they faced Barca's U19 side at the Mini Estadi.
The Nike Academy added another scalp to their impressive record by leaving the finest footballing university in the world with an assured 3-0 win. After leading 1-0 at half time thanks to Callum Harris' penalty the Academy scored twice more through Abou Boune and Adam Edgar in the second half for a memorable victory.
The boys were brought back down to earth today in a 2-0 defeat to League One Fleetwood Town. Football, eh, funny old game. Special mention for Academy attacker Bilal Sayoud whose classy performance against Barca earned him a trial with RCD Mallorca. Vamos Bilal!
