Zlatan Ibrahimovic laced up in a blacked out adidas adizero F50 last night indicating he may have entered contract negotiations with the brand.

The PSG striker was on the scoresheet in his side's 3-1 win over Ajax in the Champions League wearing the Supernatural F50, coloured in with black pen to try and disguise any branding. In recent years Ibrahimovic has been one of Nike’s highest paid players, earning more than two million Euros a year but Zlatan and Nike parted ways earlier this month when neither party could agree on a new deal leaving the Swede as a free agent.

It could well be that Ibra is simply testing out other boots as nealry a decade with Nike ends but chances are that adidas have got in touch, placed an offer on the table and Zlatan is currently undergoing a trial period in the boots before deciding on whether to sign on the dotted line. That's not to say that other brands aren't still sniffing around. Ibrahimovic returned from a heel injury wearing a blacked out edition of the Tiempo V but that's now apparent it was simply a choice to protect his injury as he's opted for the F50 rather than the 11Pro.

Some description

Zlatan had trained in the F50 the day before the Ajax game with a fresh coat of black ink on show but as the game progressed last night the black pen began to wear off to show clear signs of the Supernatural colourway. As it stands, adidas are daring to Zlatan, they've installed themselves as the early favourites for his signature but it's never normally that straight forward.

Ibrahimovic to adidas then? Reckon it's a done deal? Let us know what you think, drop your comments below.
