Zlatan returned to action wearing a blacked-out Tiempo Legend V boot sparking rumours he may have ended his eight-year relationship with Nike.

Reports coming from France are breaking the news that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has ended his eight-year relationship with Nike after choosing not to accept the company's renewed offer last month. The PSG striker made his return to action against Marseille wearing a black-out pair of Nike Tiempo Legend V boots, after recovering from a heel injury that sidelined him since September. In recent years the Swede has been one of Nike’s highest paid players, earning more than two million Euros a year.

At 33-years-old, Ibrahimovic remains one of the most lethal and charismatic strikers in world football who’s been an integral part in some of Nike’s biggest global campaigns, most recently starring in the 
‘Winner Stays’ film and hosting his own animated #DareToZlatan YouTube series. Now though the veteran striker looks to have ended his ties with the Swoosh in what has to be the biggest brand departures in recent years.

Despite a brief spell with PUMA in his earlier days Zlatan has worn every model of the Mercurial Vapor series from the first generation in 2002 right up until the Vapor X. Not many players can boast that and for a player that has become synonymous the brand would Nike really want all that work undone? Maybe a signature boot could tempt him to stay on, something that celebrates the fact he's worn all ten models, just brainstorming here Nike...
