Suiting up where it all began, Cristiano Ronaldo slipped into his new Nike CR7 Chapter 3 signature boots for the first time as Real Madrid travelled to Ronaldo’s home town club to take on Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League.

It’s been a big couple of weeks for Cristiano Ronaldo. New boots, new contracts, and another La Liga hat-trick to his name. The culmination of a story that journeyed back to his home town of Lisbon and remembered his final Sporting display before signing for Manchester United, Real Madrid’s Champions League fixture at the Estádio José Alvalade stadium was a fitting round-off to the CR7 Chapter 3 story.

It might not have been the return Ronaldo would have wished for. No goals and a less than memorable performance for the homecoming hero. Even so, it was Real Madrid who booked their place in the knockout phase of the Champions League for a 20th consecutive season thanks to Karim Benzema’s late winner that gave the current holders a 2-1 over Sporting Lisbon.

Inspired by Sporting’s home kit, the Nike CR7 Chapter 3 football boots feature a combination of “Seaweed” and “Volt”, with the Swoosh and Mercurial branding matching the medial side of the boot in Nike's famous shade of "Volt". A wave of reflective silver dots wrap the lateral side of the boot and a sparkling CR7 logo adds some signature flash, while the insole features an aerial view graphic of Sporting Lisbon's José Alvalade stadium.

With the season's first Clásico under two weeks away, Ronaldo will have his eyes on silencing the Camp Nou, much like he did the Vicente Calderón, and signing off the most successful year of his career. Life's good if you're Cristiano right now. Just ask Koke.
