Ballon d'Or winner wears limited edition boot against Bayern.

Cristiano Ronaldo laced up in his signature CR7 Nike Mercurial Vapor IX in last night's 1-0 in over Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi final first leg at the Bernabeu.

Ronaldo was originally scheduled to the limited edition boots against Barcelona in the clasico Copa del Rey final but an injured hamstring resulted in the appearance being pushed back to the Champions League tie.

Just 100 pairs of the boots were released worldwide in honor of a memorable season for the Real Madrid forward. A season, in which he averaged more than one goal a game; became the quickest player in his club’s history to reach 200 goals for the club; and was officially recognized as the best player in the world. Not a bad shift.

After a one off appearance in the limited edition boot it's expected that Ronaldo will now switch back into the current Nike Mercurial Vapor IX Fast Forward edition. When you're sorted out with a pair of boots that have a gold finished soleplate and signature logo on the instep then you know you're half decent.
