We're on the cusp of Predator season as adidas get ready to launch their next-generation boot on January 21, but before that the Three Stripes look to get busy teasing the boot on pitch this weekend as Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli has slipped into a blackout colourway ahead of his side's trip to Watford on Saturday.

We already know that adidas are set to roll out the next chapter in the Predator story after they confirmed the date earlier this week, and we've already seen players training in blacked out prototypes with no branding earlier this season, but now we're set for the real thing. All indications here point towards Dele wearing the "Shadow Beast" edition, despite adidas set to launch a more high profile colourway on Tuesday.

The blackout boot worn by Dele features Three Stripe branding in the same shimmering effect that we saw on the "Shadow Beast" pack, which coincidently was missing a Predator edition. While adidas have plans for a grander launch next week it's expected that a number of leading Predator players will join Dele in the lower-key colourway this weekend to help whip up hype ahead of a landmark release on the 21st. Laceless design, higher collar and the return of rubber shooting tech. It's all set up to be a big week.
