The reveal of the Nike Air VaporMax for Air Max Day 2017 had the guys at LUMO723 contemplating what a Mercurial Superfly VaporMax could look like. Lo and behold, it didn't take them long to draw out a creative concept if Nike ever did decide to take the collaboration of Air and Vapor across the white lines.
The Berlin duo of LUMO723 have produced two concept designs based on the VaporMax for COMME des GARÇONS in a game of "what if" as Nike begin their Air Max Day 2017 celebrations. Of course, there will be performance flaws amongst the concepts but if Nike were to iron them out and bring these to market you'd be looking at two absolute killer designs. Food for thought, for sure.
There's never any harm in imagining what could be, and the Nike Mercurial Superfly V VaporMax concepts are the result of Nike mixing and merging different sports categories and inspiring creators like LUMO723 to take things one step further. Smart as. You'd snap up both and you know it.
